Marwayne Public Library has been open for over 45 years. The library has always been housed in the local school. It services over 500 people within the surrounding area of the Village of Marwayne. The outstanding community support shown to our small public library has allowed the library to offer the best services available. These include regular story times, classes for all ages in floral arrangements, hair tutorials, stepping stones, Christmas wreath making, soap making, and endless other classes. The library has also become a learning hub for the community. It is a place where patrons from young to old can go and access books, dvds, and magazines. A learning commons centre has been added which promotes collaboration, creativity and virtual hands on learning. Minecraft gaming comes once a year so children of all ages can compete against one another and just have fun. Virtual Reality gaming also comes once a year. It allows patrons to soar through the Great Wall of China, set sail on the Titanic, and play virtually place within various games.
